Arbutus trees are strikingly beautiful with their cinnamon coloured, smooth peeling bark and gentle curves. They seem to wind their way up to the light at various angles, criss crossing through this forest making their own way.

I was raised in a family of woodworkers, where I learned how to work with wood and refinish furniture.
Which influenced my choice to hand mount archival prints onto wood. this technique creates a painting like depth and texture while maintaining the rawness of the outdoors.
