I was asked to find a photograph to represent their brand for their flagship location in Vancouver, BC. The photograph had to mimic the views that the owner saw in Shawnigan Lake, where the roastery is located. That lake has a beautiful fog that hangs over it in the early mornings. Watching the rowers up early and roasting fresh coffee is the feeling she was looking for with this commission. I took this photograph on a nearby lake that also has fog that hangs on it in the early morning.
This photograph now spans the three floor to ceiling windows at the coffee shop. The view can been seen from the street and from the inside of the windows.
