I’ve scouted this place quite a lot before setting up this shoot at low tide. the endless sand, the tide lines and the far off horizon felt like an exotic location, despite being very west coast. that’s a goal for me, to not have every place instantly recognizable. the viewer has their their own impressions, their own location in mind.
Which influenced my choice to hand mount archival prints onto wood. this technique creates a painting like depth and texture while maintaining the rawness of the outdoors.
